INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS
One more year we want to refer to November 20th "International Children's Day" for the responsibility we have to stop and reflect on whether the 10 fundamental rights of children that were published in the Declaration of the Rights of the Child adopted by Resolution 1386 of the UN General Assembly of December 10, 1959 are really being achieved.
Although we believe that in general society knows what the appropriate behavior towards children should be, they are still not respected, so it is necessary to repeat and insist again that we must be very alert not to violate their rights.
You just have to look at our environment or a little further away, it doesn't take much, to discover that there is still a long way to go to see how we treat children. Unfortunately, many of them are not having a decent childhood, such as the right to life, education, health, the principle of equality and non-discrimination..., that is, everything that allows them to have a balanced personal development.

We want to present the book "Érase una vez los Derechos de la Infancia" in which a group of people, within the legal and educational field, have collaborated in writing stories about each of the rights of the child in order to make a wide dissemination and awareness. All of them are linked to organizations in defense of children and adolescents.
In the introduction to the book, the authors address what they call "our little readers" and invite them to share the reading of the stories with family, colleagues and friends in order to contribute to being part of a society more respectful of children's rights.
