KABOUNKOUT MATERNITY  -I-

We want to explain step by step the evolution of the construction project and Endowment for Kabounkout Maternity. We encourage you to follow this blog.

WHY A MOTHERHOOD IN KABOUNKOUT?

In Kabounkout they have a health Centre since 2016, the result of the collaboration with the KASSUMAY FOUNDATION. The condition that puts the government of Senegal to recognise the center as such, is that next to it there is a maternity.

At the time, the administration provides the approval and provides the health complex with a qualified nurse, a health technician and a midwife, taking charge of salaries and the Ministry of Health facilitates the provision of medicines.

The functions of the Kassumay Foundation are to provide technical and organizational support, financial resources and control the implementation of the project. This task is carried out jointly with our counterpart in Senegal, constituted by the Association CPAS (Centre of Agricultural and Social promotion); Through the signing of an agreement.

FUTURE MATERNITY LOCATION

The economic cost of this project is 58,089.71 euros. And to achieve this figure was presented the project to Manos Unidas D'andorra and the government of Andorra in 2017.

After evaluating the proposal they gave their acceptance and it is in this way that the construction of the motherhood, construction work has begun.

The direct recipients of the maternal care Centre, which is the subject of this project, are all the female population in the gestation state and the new Nats and their mothers of the area, in which the most important settlement is Kabounkout, with a radius of 20 km of affectation. The estimate of the total population of the beneficiary is around 11,000 inhabitants.
