INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RURAL WOMEN
In 1995, at the Fourth World Conference on Women, organized by the United Nations in Beijing (China), October 15 was established as the International Day of Rural Women. This day was created in order to give visibility to the contribution made by women to the economic, business, social and cultural improvement of rural areas around the world.
