INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ERADICATION OF POVERTY

On September 25, 2015, 193 countries did not commit to the 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS of Naciones Unidas y su cumplimiento para el año 2030. The objectives persit the equality between the PERSONAS , protect the PLANET and ensure prosperidad as part of a new agenda of sustainable development. A new global social counterto that DOES NOT DEJE A NADIE ATRÁS . A Spain that has alcanzado los SDGs in 2030 will be the country with which todos y todas soñamos. Por eso, the Agenda 2030 is at the center of the vision of Estado and the action of Gobierno.

Bold paragraph and colored rectangles are copied and pasted from: https://www.agenda2030.gob.es/objetivos/home.htm where it has been very showy and with a touch of joy.

The first of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is precisely that of the Eradication of Poverty; to make poverty disappear in all its forms and manifestations. That 193 countries have adhered to such praiseworthy milestone should be a reason for joy and recovery in the hope of humanity, which so often flees us when we see the day-to-day drift of this world that we claim from us.

Can poverty be eradicated? At the moment clarify that the concept object of eradication is extreme poverty, a term that in itself is heartbreaking, since it results in itself.

A few decades ago, some experts talked about the distribution of resources, access to water, respect for rights, the care of the planet and a sufficiently extensive series of considerations that had to do with the supposed and desired (it does not seem to be that for everyone) eradication of poverty. Today we find ourselves with all the advances that the speed of the so-called technological evolution has brought us by talking about the same topics and without seeing anything clear.

Our leaders who say that a certain country will dream of a certain country by 2030, continue with the discourse of continuous and infinite growth - like most Western and/or rich governments - which is completely incompatible with the achievement of the SDGs, since the differences generated by these trends exacerbate the problems that are supposedly intended to be fought. Once again we have to fake a smile in the face of statements of intent and be alert to raise our voices and make ourselves present if, as until now, there is too much smoke for so few flames.

The KASSUMAY FOUNDATION supports all those real actions that lead to the achievement of this first SDG and the rest.
