INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY 2021
Year after year we arrive on September 21st and celebrate the International Day of Peace. It is difficult to talk about Paul despite the absence of armed conflicts in our regions. We often place the word Paul on the shelf of desires longed for too long and it remains like a romantic ramp that relieves the spirit and becomes entangled in consciousness.
We can't just think of Peace as a contrast to war. The presence of violence in our environments, in other countries or in ourselves, is an indicator of how difficult it is to be able to talk about the achievement of Peace. Where bombs explode, weapons are fired, war episodes are disputed, the stage makes it easy for us to talk about NO Peace. But if we stick with these terrible realities and we don't go any further, we will not be able to take steps to build Peace.
In a world without opportunities for women in too many domains, where young people are closed to build a future, where trade relations only benefit the powerful and condemn the poor, where the arms trade is a pillar of the world economy, where armies count more than doctors or teachers, where the different ways of loving are not respected, where essential service companies are allowed to abuse people, where the common house is destroyed in the name of progress and economic growth, where racist and xenophobic messages are thrown with total impunity, where so many people's rights are violated... how we could talk about Paul.
From the KASSUMAY FOUNDATION we have committed ourselves from our small plot to work for a better world. A world that we want to walk hand in hand with solidarity, justice, respect for human rights, the care of the Earth, and of the desired PAU.
